Premas wins new contracts with Royal Greenland

Royal Greenland has been using Premaster for many years. The fishing company has now ordered Premaster for its newbuilds and will eventually use Premaster on six vessels with provision for communicating with the head office in Nuuk.

One of our customers with extensive experience of Premaster is expanding its fleet. Royal Greenland is developing two new factory trawlers at the Astilleros de Murueta shipyard in Spain. The trawlers, which are 82 metres long and designed by Skipsteknisk in Ålesund, are not identical. One has a fillet factory and frozen storage facility and the other is a shrimp trawler. The vessels can accommodate crews of 43 and 30 respectively. The first trawler is expected to be delivered in December.

These are complex vessels with a lot of propulsion, production and cold storage equipment. Premas will not only supply the software but must also enter data for the entire vessel. This is a task that requires the entry of several thousand components and associated maintenance tasks and spare parts. Royal Greenland has previously used Premaster on Akamalik, Nataarnaq, Sisimut and Tuugaalik.
